How to Check the Oil in Your Mazda in New Braunfels, TX

Preparation
Before you can begin checking on how your current supply of oil is holding up, it’s important that you begin with a few prerequisite steps. The first of these is to park your CX-30, CX-70, or Mazda3 on a flat surface. This is so that the oil rests evenly, leading to a more accurate reading of the remaining quantity. You will also want to make sure that the vehicle has been inactive for the last 20 minutes, as this gives plenty of time for the oil to settle as well. During this waiting period, you will want to gather a few items. This includes a light-colored cloth, which will be used to ascertain the quality of the oil. A pair of gloves is also strongly recommended, as it will save time spent trying to wash off any oil that may have gotten onto your hands.
Process
Once you have accomplished the aforementioned steps, you can move on to checking the condition of your oil. Begin by flipping up the hood and looking for a brightly-colored handle. It is typically a bright orange or yellow on Mazda models. This is connected to the dipstick, which you will want to wipe against the handle we mentioned prior. This is to check and see if the oil has become contaminated, which shows in the form of a sludgy consistency and a dark brown color. After doing so, place the dipstick all the way back into its slot and remove it once more. “ Do not purchase any add-ons for your car. If you are looking to get service for your car at this dealership, after purchasing your car from a different dealership, they will not honor anything. The service here has been horrible. Based on one of their representatives, in order for this dealership to honor your add-on from a different dealership, they would need to review the contract you signed with the previous dealership. However, even when you show them the contract, they still do not honor it. You need to go through great links just to get good customer service. Unfortunately, if if you already purchased add-ons for your Mazda from a previous dealership, I would recommend trying a different Mazda dealership, even if you need to go all the way to Austin. ”
