Mazda’s Adaptive LED Headlights are the ultimate headlight technology. The LED headlights light up the road ahead as if it were daytime, allowing anybody to enjoy safe and stress free driving at any time of the day. Adaptive LED Headlights system increases visibility by combining 3 technologies:

Mazda’s Adaptive LED Headlights consist of an array of LEDs divided into four blocks, which can be switched on and off independently. The system includes the use of a widescreen mounted camera to detect other vehicles’ headlights and tail lamps. It also temporarily dims individual LED blocks to avoid straining the visibility of other drivers in the illuminated area even when passing oncoming traffic. Operates at speeds above 40 km/h.

Wide Range Low Beams are fitted to the sides of each headlight to allow for a wider illuminated area than with traditional low beams. These new low beams improve visibility at night particularly when passing through intersections.

Adaptive LED Headlights automatically raise the axis of illumination when the speed of the vehicle reaches over 95 km/h (about 60 miles per hour). This helps enhance visibility at a distance, helps drivers recognize traffic signs and potential hazards earlier.
